Ports, health and licences

What interfaces and chassis say: state, traffic, optics, load, licences.

At a glance

  1. WhereInventory, then Ports, Device health, Device licences.
  2. AccessInventory read access. SNMP supervision needs the SNMP module.
  3. DataPorts after a collection; Health and Licences when devices report their hardware modules.
/inventory/interfaces
The demo estate's port table.

What the screen shows

Ports

About thirty columns per interface: device, name, description, IP, VLANs, optics, 802.1X and MAB, then traffic and its 24 hour trend. Device filter, one hundred rows per page.

Device health (BETA)

CPU, memory and other metrics over time, by source (all, SNMP only, collection only), over a 1 to 365 day window; tabs Health by device and Never measured.

Device licences (BETA)

Tiles per status (expired, expiring soon, out of compliance, evaluation, not licensed, active) and a Device, Licence, Status, Kind, Expires, In use table. Licences are read during collection.

SNMP supervision (BETA)

Network availability over 24 hours to 365 days and SNMP events. It is set up under Administration, SNMP supervision, and needs SNMP credentials on the devices.

What you can do

  1. 1

    Export the ports

Excel, CSV or PDF export every filtered row, up to 10,000.

  2. 2

    Read a device's health

Open Device health, set the window, then the Health by device tab; the Proof button shows the raw measurement.

    /inventory/device-health
Device health on the demo estate.

Limits and things to know

Health and Licences do not appear

These two entries only show once hardware modules have been collected.

More than 10,000 ports

The full export stops at 10,000 rows: filter by device.
