Neighbors

Who talks to whom, protocol by protocol, with each session's state.

At a glance

  1. WhereNeighbors menu.
  2. AccessNeighbors module and a permission per protocol.
  3. DataOne entry per protocol present in the collected data.
/neighbors/bgp
The demo estate's BGP neighbour table.

What the screen shows

CDP and LLDP

Remote device and interface, capability, platform, local device and interface, state and speed, and the bundle on both sides. CSV export.

BGP and BGP EVPN

Neighbour, AS, messages, queues, session up or down time, prefixes, state, type and VRF; a VRF filter.

IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP

Neighbour, local interface, state, timers; OSPF adds process, area and role, EIGRP the AS and SRTT and RTO counters.

IPv6 Neighbors (NDP)

IPv6 address, MAC, state, interface, VXLAN VTEP and VRF.

What you can do

  1. 1

    Filter

Each page has a device selector; BGP and OSPF add the VRF.

  2. 2

    See it as a topology

Each page's Topology tab draws the matching layer.

    /neighbors/cdp
    The demo estate's CDP table.

Limits and things to know

The Neighbors menu does not appear

It only counts CDP, LLDP, IS-IS, BGP, NDP and EVPN. An estate with only OSPF or EIGRP gets no Neighbors menu: go through Routing.

MPLS LDP

It sits under L2 Services, as LDP.
